Azure Architect

HiQ is looking for an Azure Architect with extensive data migration experience for a finance sector client project.

Role:

The Azure Architect will be responsible of designing and implementing a centralized Azure-based contact archiving solution and executing the migration of contact archiving data from multiple AWS accounts, Genesys Cloud, and legacy on-premises storage to Azure. This role is critical in our clients journey toward Azure, as AWS-based solutions and integrations will be migrated in the coming years.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an Azure-based centralized archiving solution.
  • Design & Implement a POC for large-scale migration of contact-related data from AWS, Genesys Cloud, and on-premises systems to Azure.
  • Document every step, challenges, and solutions after the POC to ensure a smooth handover to the application team in the future.
  • Collaborate closely with the Azure Platform Team and other technical teams.
  • Ensure security and compliance with all design and implementation decisions.
  • Work within a technical development team, coordinating with onsite and offshore team members.
  • Contribute to clients cloud transformation strategy and architecture roadmap

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing Azure based solutions and migrations
  • Strong experience in Azure cloud architecture:
    • Ability to design secure, scalable Azure archiving solutions for large volumes of unstructured and semi structured data (voice, chat, secure message, recordings, metadata etc.)
    • Strong understanding of Azure storage, networking, encryption, IAM, governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, banking regulations)
  • Large-scale data migration experience:
    • Proven experience in migrating multi-terabyte datasets from on-prem legacy systems, AWS S3 buckets
    • Hands-on skills with Azure Data Factory and automated data ingestion pipelines
    • Strong understanding of performance tuning, parallelism, metadata mapping and integrity verification
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) skills
    • Experience in designing and deploying Azure infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep
    • Ability to create repeatable, version-controlled environments
  • Ability to product architecture blueprints, migration runbooks, IaC repository documentation
  • Ability to produce operational guides for pipelines and environments
  • Ability to provide clear handover to application team
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Finnish

Beneficial:

  • Familiarity with Genesys Cloud and understanding of contact center / contact management concepts

Assignment information:

  • Start: asap
  • Duration: until 30.06.2026
  • Allocation: 100 %
  • Location: Helsinki, hybrid (onsite work 1-2 days/week)
