Data Engineer

We are looking for a Data Engineer for a finance sector client project.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing data pipelines for data extraction, transformation/calculation and loading into new data products with automated testing and data quality aspects included
  • Understanding business requirements and modelling specifications and translating them to data requirements
  • Investigating and analyzing data availability and usability throughout the data landscape
  • Planning the data architecture transition towards target state architecture, initially to AWS cloud and ultimately to Azure cloud environment in cooperation with relevant parallel projects
  • Communicating with model owners and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Experience in cloud-based data processing solutions (Azure, AWS, Databricks, Unity)
  • Advanced knowledge of Python language (pyspark, numpy, spark)
  • Experience in designing, developing and managing data processing pipelines
  • Advanced experience of CI/CD pipelines: packaging, deployment and moving solution to production (Azure, AWS CDK, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and team player mentality
  • Good communication skills in Finnish and English

Beneficial:

  • Advanced skills in SQL and experience in creating and managing ETL pipelines
  • Data analysis experience
  • API experience (FastAPI etc., Docker)
  • Basic knowledge of MLFlow

Assignment information:

  • Start: May
  • Duration: until 31.12.2025
  • Allocation: 100 %
  • Location: Helsinki, hybrid (onsite working approximately twice per quarter)
