Senior DevOps Java Developer

HiQ is looking for a Senior DevOps Java Developer for a finance sector customer project.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong background in Java development
  • Familiarity with development tools and pipelines (Git/Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, artifactory and integrations between the tools. Also some Rancher and Liferay.)
  • Understanding of development pipelines (branching, snapshots/tags/releases, role of artifactory, environment roles, etc.)
  • Ability to read/write/use different configuration files and formats (yaml, Java properties, environment variables, etc.)
  • Ability to read application code, most in Java, with scripts in frontend (read and understand code, no need to write code)
  • Working on Linux servers, REST integrations and apigee, basic understanding of application servers and networks.
  • Troubleshooting skills, including logs reading both on Linux command line and advanced tools (e.g. Splunk). Troubleshooting will require understanding of architectures by reading related documentation, and here the REST principles also come in handy. 
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills in English

Assignment information:

  • Start: October
  • Duration: until 30.9.2026 
  • Allocation: 100%
  • Location: Helsinki, hybrid (approx. 1-2 onsite days per week)
