Product Owner

HiQ is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our client's DevOps team


We are looking for a Product Owner for our client company’s DevOps team mainly responsible for the development and maintenance of two enterprise service bus (ESB) products. The Integration PO needs to have a vision on how to push the client’s integrations forward, how to develop the integrations and what changes are needed to keep up with technological advances while still delivering the business implementation needed. Occasional traveling inside Europe may be required.


  • Defines site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality

  • Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests

  • Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives

  • Integrates applications by designing database architecture and server scripting; studying and establishing connectivity with network systems, search engines, and information servers

  • Creates multimedia applications by using authoring tools

  • Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

  • Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools


  • Detail oriented, a self-starter and a strong team player

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills

  • Strong estimating and risk assessment skills

  • Object-Oriented Design (OOD)

  • Previous experience as Scrum Product Owner, working with multiple stakeholders in multiple locations

  • Technical background; understanding of both development and operations (keywords: AWS, integrations, Java, React)

  • Excellent communication, documentation and coordination skills in English

  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

  • Experience in software development projects

  • Experience in software development (5+ years)

Assignment information:

  • Start: beginning of Jan 2020

  • Duration: until the end of March 2020

  • Allocation: 100%

  • Location: Helsinki
