AI for all – HiQ’s AI Roadshow brought practical skills to every role
We want to make sure our whole team stays ahead of the curve. That’s why we launched the AI Roadshow in spring 2025 – a series of events that brought our people together across Finland to listen, discuss, and most importantly, try out how AI can make everyday work more efficient.

AI is no longer just a tool for developers or analysts. It’s becoming an essential part of everyday work across roles – from sales and design to customer service and operations. At HiQ, we’ve been using AI in various ways for a while now: implementing AI-based productivity tools, building machine learning solutions, and expanding our practical knowledge of how to apply them.
Busy schedules and the pace of change make it easy to fall behind. Most of us know the basics of generative AI, but in-depth, practical learning opportunities are rare. That’s one reason we launched the AI Roadshow – to give everyone a chance to pause, explore AI hands-on, and see how it can improve their work right now, not just in the future.
AI is a core skill – and not just for the few
The Roadshow took place across several HiQ offices around Finland. Each full-day event focused on exploring what Microsoft Copilot can do, and how AI can reshape our ways of working, no matter the role, team, or project.
For HiQ, building AI skills is part of a bigger cultural shift. It’s not just about productivity, it’s also about making work more meaningful, encouraging continuous learning, and finding new ways to grow in our roles.
“We want to build a culture where learning is part of everyday work, and AI is the natural next step. We need diverse perspectives at the table, because innovation doesn’t happen in an echo chamber. Our goal is to make AI everyone’s superpower – not a tool for the few,” says HiQ Finland’s Managing Director Minna Lindholm.
“Our goal is to make AI everyone’s superpower – not a tool for the few.”
During the day, we explored how AI can help in different roles, practiced prompt engineering, and looked at ways AI can support tasks like understanding legacy code, writing documentation, or drafting proposals. We also tried using Copilot to replace traditional ways of searching internal information through simple conversations.
“Even small experiments can lead to surprising benefits – and help you stay competitive. Just ask yourself: could AI do this part of my job better or faster?”
Training that makes a difference
The AI Roadshow showed how AI can be integrated into an organization’s skillset in a hands-on way. Participants got access to Microsoft Copilot licenses, tested the tools in real scenarios, and shared what they learned with colleagues. By the end of the day, we had identified several real use cases – from conversational AI assistants for different needs to bots for automation and quality assurance in ongoing services.
“This is one of many ways we’re making AI part of everyday work – wherever it makes sense to use it. Workshops like these are also a great way to bring people out of their home offices and encourage face-to-face interaction with each other – and with AI,” says Mikko Sairio, Head of AI, Data and Automation Services at HiQ.
The AI Roadshow will continue as a series of online sessions, making sure everyone – regardless of location or schedule – has the chance to hop on board.
“We believe real change happens when everyone, no matter their role or experience, gets the chance to interact with AI and start using it together. The AI Roadshow is part of that journey – one step at a time, together.”
