Test Automation Engineer
HiQ is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer for a long-term client project in the finance sector.
Assignment:
You have strong expertise and experience in testing and practical implementation of test automation for various applications and systems (exploratory testing, test automation). You can plan the execution of testing at different levels for the team (how to test, when to test, what to automate at each level). You are capable of setting realistic goals for the team’s test automation, implementing test automation solutions, and integrating the results into the team’s continuous workflow.
You will participate in testing applications or systems and ensure the quality and coverage of testing (functional and non-functional testing) within your area of responsibility. You ensure that the testing methods used meet the requirements of our client’s agile development model. You contribute to requirements definition and sprint planning, particularly from a quality assurance perspective. You analyze requirements, create comprehensive test cases, execute test cases or automate them as appropriate, and report defects. You are responsible for the test automation within your area and act as a point of contact for related matters.
Requirements:
- Senior-level experience in developing test automation
- Strong experience with large-scale test automation projects
- Solid technical expertise and proficiency with test automation tools (Robot Framework, Python, Jenkins, GIT)
- Experience with project management tools (Confluence, Jira)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and working as part of an agile team
- Ability to identify dependencies, issues, risks, and quality gaps
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in both Finnish and English
Beneficial:
- Previous experience in the finance sector, particularly in the area of wealth management
- Expertise in testing non-functional requirements and capabilities

Start Date: January 2025 or as agreed
Duration: Until January 31, 2026
Allocation: 100%
Location: Helsinki, hybrid model (approximately 1-2 days of on-site work per week)
