OPR-Finance Oy chose the frends integration platform to extend Legacy systems' lifetime, and accelerate the time between system development to production.

Business Goals

For OPR-Finance it was important to find a modern integration platform that would meet business development needs, support modernization and the gradual replacement of back-end systems as well as provide the opportunity to publish interfaces compliant with the OpenAPI standard.

Integration challenges

OPR-Finance Oy was searching for a hybrid platform that would be able to support both API technologies and more traditional integration use cases both in the cloud and with local data center solutions. The customer's priority was to extend internal Legacy systems and find a solution to accelerate the production time.

With frends, we were able to change the back-end system of our "Ostosraha" service in a matter of days. Without the frends, the work would have taken weeks.

Results

OPR-Finance has implemented several integrations using the frends eiPaaS platform. As a low-code platform, frends has provided the opportunity for agile development work without any third party vendors. OPR-Finance has implemented public interfaces in accordance with the OpenAPI standard as well as traditional data transfers between systems. Process automation is also a significant part of OPR-Finance's integrations.

OPR-Finance is a model case of a do-it-yourself DIY customer who has adopted the best aspects of the frends integration platform. A good example of it is i.e. achieved OpenAPI interface release per hour. Without the frends integration platform, an equivalent release could have taken days.

Hybrid features of the frends has allowed client's interfaces to be published in the cloud and parts of the performance to be done in own data center. The selection is based on the location of the main systems. In addition to applications, OPR-Finance has been using frends in process automation, data conversion and traditional file transfers (MFT) between systems and partners.
